5th Essay: Remember the Titans

I want to write to movie review. I have watched ‘Remember the Titans’. This movie is in best three in the movie I have ever watched. I watched this move two or three times. I watched this for the first time when I was second grade of high school. My English teacher showed it for us in English class.

This is true story. For 1971 years, it is a high school in the State of Virginia in U.S.A. This school is a school unified black and white. The Titans is the football team of that school. In that time, black and white hate each other. But, Coach Boone taught students the importance of respecting each other. And, black students and white students bonded to win the game. This movement influenced whole the town, black and white in the town become gradually one.

This movie tells about segregation. Of course, I don’t know the real pain of segregation. But I was impressed by a figure of the youths who removed a racial wall. You should check this movie.

Book Review 1-14: CHRISTMAS IN PRAGUE

I read Christmas in Prague. It is easy to read. English is not so difficult. The story is a story that Jan and his father, Josef serve as a miraculous reencounter with their family who was separated, Pavel in Prague. It is miracul!! I think the miracle happens if you strongly pray. It is good story.

Summer.

I like summer the best in seasons. We can do several things in summer season. For example, we can go swimming, go surfing, go catching beetles or stag beetles, and hold a barbecue and so on. Summer is the best season to do those things. And also, I like festival of summer. Especially, I like the contest of fireworks. We can enjoy a lot of beautiful fireworks then. By the way, I have a plan for this summer. I am planning to go Miyazaki by car with my 3 friends. We are going to go to Sea Gaia. I am looking forward to coming of summer.

My body guard

I watched 'My body guard'(The original title is 'Man On Fire') on Sunday. This story is sad. But it's impressive. The actor played the part of Creasy, Denzel Washington is very cool. And, The child actor played the part of Pita, Dakota Fanning is very cute. My favorite point is that Creasy and Pita become gradually best friend.

Fine

Kumamoto is in rainy season. But, today is fine!! It's so good. But it's too hot.

Rain

I always go to 'Familymart' near the university to buy a lunch. But, yesterday was heavy rain. So, I was drenched with rain on the way. My clothes didn't dry during 3rd and 4th period. It was not comfortable.

Yakiniku

I ate 'Yakiniku' with my friends at my home. It was very good and pleasing. But, oil splashed. It was hard to clean my room. So, next time, I will devise oil measure.

Rainy day

I don’t like rainy day. Because of I will get wet. I always go to university by bicycle. When the day is rainy I always get wet. And I hold umbrella by my one hand. So, it is difficult to ride bicycle. It is so dangerous. And I have bad memory about rainy day. About one year ago. I was on the way to university. I was walking. Then, a car passed through my side. There was big water pool. The car splashed to me. I got wet. This is the worst memory about rainy day.

Enemy of the State

I watched 'Enemy of the State' on Saturday. I like it very much. The main character was Will Smith. If you like movie of spy, you can enjoy this movie absolutely.

Book Review 1-13: The Coldest Place On Earth

I read this book this week. It was true story. This book is not something I like. It was little boring. The English was little difficult for me.

Rainy season

At last, rainy season is coming. Yesterday and the day before yesterday were rainy. I wish that it is over early.

Coke!!

I like coke!! It is good for summer season.

Kumamoto

I will write about Kumamoto. I don’t know about Kumamoto very well. Because of Kumamoto is not my home prefecture. I am the people of Kagoshima prefecture. I came to Kumamoto last year to go to this university. I am staying here for only about one year. So, I still don’t know about Kumamoto well. But I gradually become understand a little bit about Kumamoto. I heard few things about Kumamoto before I come here. For example, I heard about Basashi, Kumamoto castle and so on.

At first, I will write about Kumamoto castle. I have not been to Kumamoto castle. But I some times go to Shimotori and Kamitori. So, I can see it then. I think it is very beautiful, cool and emotional. I have never seen any castle. So, I was impressed. I think Kumamoto castle is one of important historical place in Japan. I want to visit there some day.

And, I have been to mountain Hanaoka once. But I don’t remember the way to there. Because of my friend take me to there. In there, I could overlook whole of Kumamoto city. It was very very beautiful. But it was afternoon. So, I want to go there at night to see night view. I think there is good place for lovers.

And, I have been to Aso once when I was primary school student. I went to Aso Farmland. Aso had a lot of natures. It was very beautiful. I think Aso is good place to refresh.

That’s all one of the people of Kagoshima prefecture knows. If you know more about good place, please tell me!!

Season

My favorite season is summer. Because, I can go swimming in the river or the beach. I can eat ice cream. 'Kakigoori' is so good. I think summer is suit for sports. I can enjoy several things in summer. But, I like all seasons. I can enjoy all seasons.

Fullhouse

I like a drama, 'Fullhouse'. When I was a child, I always watched it. Now, there are rebroadcasts on Tuesday. So, I watch it again. Especially, Michelle is so cute. If I married in the future, I want child like her and I want to make my family like Tanner family. Today is broadcast day. I gatta go back to my home and watch it!!

Book Review 1-12: The Elephant Man

I read 'The Elephant Man'. I read English book after a long separation. This book is true story. I was surprised at the truth that 'The Elephant Man' existed. He has ugly body and head. But he was happy. Because, He has a lot of friends. I learned inportance of friendship from this book.

Hondarake

I go to Hondarake some times. There is good place to kill time. I like to look for acquisition of CD there. I am a king of person of leisure!!

4th period

Today, I have no class in the 4th period. The lecture got ill.

Slam Dunk!!

I like to play basketball. I like to watch basketball game too. NBA is the greatest entertainment. My favorite play is dunk shoot. This picture is the best dunk shoot I've ever seen. He is Vince Carter. By the Sydney Olympics of 2000, game with France, he flew over a man of 218 centimeters and did a dunk!! He was like flying bird. Many people were exicited by that play. I think dunk is one of art.

Godzilla

I watched movie of Godzilla on video after a long separation. It was very exiting. I felt I back to childhood. Godzilla is king of monster!!

I like owarai. I watch "On air battle" of NHK everyweek. But yesterday's was little boring....

Cleaning

I cleaned my house after a long separation in this morning. I did the vacuuming the whole room. And I packed away Kotatsu. So, I feel good today.

Checkmate!!

Recently, chess is my boom. I downloaded chess game by my cell phone. Computer is very strong. If I play with lower level computer, I am always beated by it. So, I'm practicing it everyday. It is very enjoyable.

Movie

I like sports. Especially, basketball is my favorite sports. So, I like sports movie too. Today, I would like to write about sports movies that I watched recently. I watched 2 movies, “The Longest Yard” and “Coach Carter”. I think that those 2 movies are masterpiece.

“The longest yard” is football movie. The story goes like this. One of retired professional football player causes car accident. And he is put in prison. The chief of prison asks him to be a manager of prison guard team. But he refuses. And, He makes prisoner team. While he and his teammate putting up with harassment from guards, His team became strong. The day of game, he is threatened to lose on purpose. But his team fights for a pride and wins. This is the rough stream of this movie.

“Coach Carter” is my favorite sports, basketball movie. The story goes like this. A coach of basketball named Carter takes office as a coach of a small and weak university. The members of basketball team of this university are problem children. But, Carter coach teaches it strictly without minding. At first, children rebel against his teaching. But they gradually understand his teaching. Coach Carter teaches importance of following rules through basketball to children. And he makes children an excellent adult. This is the rough stream of this movie.

I learned importance of pride, friendship, following rules and so on from those 2 movies. I recommend you to watch those movies. Movies are always telling us something. It is important to enjoy. But I think that it is important to learn from it too.

Nishimura family

I have a family. There are 4 members in my family. I have a sister. She is younger than I. She is a high school student. She practices Kendo. She is going to be home helper. My father is a teacher of driving school. My mother is a nurse. That’s all about my family.

The Longest Yard

On this Sunday, I watched a movie on DVD. The title was "The Longest Yard". This is football movie. The story is very funny and impressive. I like this very much. A rapper Nelly appears on this movie. He is one of my favorite rapper. He sings backmusic of this movie. I like it very much too. Especially, "Fly Away" is a masterpiece. I think this song is Nelly's best song. If you interested in football or Nelly, I recommend you to watch and listen.

Book Review 1-11: SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE DUKE'S SON

Today, I read "Sherlock Holmes and the Duke's son". This was also difficult for me. I needed much of my powers of concentration. So, it was hard to read. I couldn't understand this story very well too. But I don't dislike mystery. I will try it again someday.

Book Review 1-10: Sherlock Holmes and the SPORT OF KINGS

I read this book on this Sunday. I knew the name Sherlock Holmes, but I have never read the story. So, it was very fresh for me. This story is mystery. So, I had to remember what happened in the book. But, English was little difficult for me. And I could not remember and understand very well. So, I want to try it again someday.
