6th essay: Leaning with computer

It’s my thought about writing III IV

Introduction

I have writing class in second period of Wednesday from this year. Learn English with using computer is class style. I learn English with writing my own blog. This is first time to write a blog. So, it is very fresh for me. Mr. Beaufait is my writing teacher. He is very funny man. He is always singing. So, I could study English with joy.

Before writing III

Writing class is always same in my experience. The class style are always memorizing a compound word, memorizing a phrase, memorizing an idiom or practicing English composition earnestly. Those styles were my view about writing class too. And also I used computer not often. I did not have my own computer. So, the time when I touch computer was very short and few times. But this class started, this class was good reason for me to have my own computer. It was good chance to have a computer. I bought my computer in this summer.

During writing III IV

Writing

I think that I could raise my writing skills though this writing class. Because of I keep writing blog posts. It is maybe not correct sentence. And it is not so long. But I think that keep writing is good for raising writing skills. It makes English brain. I could write a blog post without concerning grammar so much. I think it is not so good but not so bad. Sometimes, it is necessary. And there are some essay assignments. I wrote some essays. It is very good to raise my writing skills. I thought outline of essay and I wrote it. It is like Japanese composition. It took little long time to write, but it is very good exercise for me. I didn’t keep practice writing before this class started. So, blog is very good place to practice writing.

Spelling

My spelling is not so good. Sometime I can’t remember the correct spell. But there is nice function in the computer. The blog site that I using is ‘Blogger’. There is a useful function, ‘spell check’ in blog functions. I used that to correct my spell. And when I write long composition such as essay assignment, I used ‘Microsoft Word’. ‘Microsoft Word’ is very useful too. It corrects my wrong spells automatically. Or, it tells me wrong with red under line. It is very helpful. But I must learn correct spelling by myself. Because of there is no useful function like this in real life.

Reading

I read English book through this class. We had to read one English book a week at least and write book review on own blog. I didn’t read English books in my daily life. So, it is good chance to read it. I read 32 books in this year. It was not difficult for me. The levels are suits my level. So, I could keep reading.

Typing

I practiced typing. There were typing speed trials in class. The aim was 100 words in 5 minutes in spring semester. Typing 150 words in 5 minutes was the aim in this semester. I could pass spring semester, but I didn’t clear this semester. It is so difficult. I have to practice more. But I think I could raise my typing skill certainly. I didn’t touch computer much times before this class started. So, it was good motivation to raise my typing speed.

Grammar

I wrote blog posts without considering grammar same as spelling. But ‘Microsoft Word’ tells me grammar wrong with green under line same as spelling. It is so helpful too. But I don’t think I could learn correct grammar in this class. Computer just warns me wrong. It doesn’t correct my grammar. But I used dictionary when I write essays. It is good to learn grammar. I have to study harder by myself about grammar.

Using computer

There were a lot of chances in this year due to this class. I think it is good thing. Because of using computer is necessary in now society. As I wrote, this class became good chance to have my own computer. That was very good and big for me. If the class style isn’t like this, I would not buy my own computer. I could learn how to use computer with joy through this class.

After writing IV

After writing IV, I want to keep writing blog in my free time. It is good practice to write English. And I want keep practicing typing. I want to raise my typing speed. I think there are many times to use computer in recently job. I want to make good use of my skills I got through this class in my future.

Conclusion

I could learn some good things that I can’t learn through normal English writing class. I was very anxiety at first. But it is good experience for me. I could get important skill through this class.

After we finished lunch, we went to shopping. We went several shops. For example, Tsutaya, Towerrecord, we go and some clothes shops. I bought 3 CDs at Towerrecord. I bought Chingy's 'Hate It or Love It', DJ Drama's 'Gangsta Grillz' and Bow Wow & Omarion's 'Face Off'. Chingy and Bow & Omarion's CDs' sell day was today. I was waiting for this day. All CDs were very good. I am very happy now!!

Today, I have no class in the afternoon. So, I went to Kamitori & Shimotori with double Yuki after we finished the morning class. We were hungry, so we went to 'Ma-Ma-Fu-Fu' at first. I have been there one time. I went there when I came to Kumamoto to find my apartment room. I went there after long separation. I ate fried rice set. It was so good. I want to go there again!!

Very memorable experience

I have been to Australia when I was 2^nd grade of high school student. I went there instead of school trip. Because of my course that a course that put stress on English. I went there with classmates. And I stayed there for about two weeks. I experienced a lot of things that I never had. I lived by speaking English mainly in that time. That was very important experience for me. And I had other special experiences. For example, I touched koala and kangaroo. I watched Opera house and harbor bridge in Sydney. I enjoyed shopping by English. I could do several experiences. And I was grown a little by that experience.

I got up 5:30 early in the morning yesterday. Because of I was going to arrive at KGU by 7:00. I was going to take a course of MOS. MOS is omission of Microsoft Office Specialist. I arrived at KGU at 7:00. But there are already a lot of students in line in front of building 14. The limits of the course are 40 people. I was 30~35th. I could take that course. I am so happy. I'll do my best to pass the test. The course starts during spring vacation.

I read ' Love or Money?' today. This is the crime and mystery story. The story goes like this. The main character is Molly Clarkson. She is rich. She is 50 years old, old woman. One day, she has a small party for her birthday - only four people. Four people, however, who need the same thing, they need her money. She will not give them the money, so they are waiting for her to die. And there are other people who are waiting for her to die. But one person can't wait. And on her fiftieth birthday, Molly Clarkson is killed by someone. And, the investigation is started. I tried to reason, but it was also difficult for me. I couldn't understand the trick or the criminal. The mystery story is always different for me. I want to be good reader of mystery stories. I want to read more mystery stories to train my brain.

I read 'The Witches Of Pendle', today. This is the true story. This story is the story about witches. Do you believe the existence of the witch? I don't know they are in the world. In English in the 1600s many people believed in witches. Everybody was very afraid of them. The main character is Janet Device. She is 9 years old, poor and thin girl. Her grandmother was witch. Her mother was witch. Her ant was witch. That is what villager believed. So, she was in the prison of Lancaster Castle. She was not witch because she is a child between witch, her mother and normal man, her father. Her families were caught up and they were hanged in front of Lancaster Castle. But she was caught up and went to prison in the Lancaster Castle. Because of she has a name, Device. People don’t like the name of Device. She must stay there in Lancaster Castle with her died family. That is a true sad girl story.

He has a yellow face, he has no nose, he has black holes for eyes. He is maybe like a skull in my image. But the evidences of the person who watched the phantom are different each. It is so strange. But finally, he is disclosed that it is not a goast or phantom. He is a man. He is unhappy Erik. He hides from the world because of his terrible, ugly face. And he played a goast or phantom with several tricks. That is the truth of 'The Phantom of the Opera'.

Development of TV

Introduction

Nowadays, I can’t think about life without TV. TV is one part of our life for people of today. There is no TV in the old days. When I was born, there is TV then already. So certainly TV influenced my life very much. For example, TV influenced my view, my behavior, and my mind and so on. It will suits to the young generation people too.

History of TV

When the first time TV broadcasted was May 13^th 1939 by NHK Science & Technical Research Laboratories (NHK STRL). That was public experiment. Then, TV was black & white. After that, TV broadcasting started February 1^st 1939 by NHK. And commercial broadcasting started on August 28^th 1953. 1958 to 1959, the television was popularized. Because of many commercial broadcasting stations were set up. And color broadcasting was started on September 10^th 1960. On June 1^st 1989, broadcasting satellite was started. On 1991 November 25^th, ‘High vision’ broadcasting was started. On 2000 December 1^st, broadcasting satellite digital was started. And ‘TIJOU DIGITAL HOUSOU’ is starting.

Today’s Television

Nowadays, television was developed very much. It changed color. It changed thin. The screen size is several. There are from big size to small size. You can find big size screen in city. The small size screen is size like ‘GAMEBOY’. And there is even waterproof television. So we can watch TV at the bath. And we can watch TV in a car. Car navigation system set up TV system. Nowadays, we can watch TV at cell phone. We can watch TV at anywhere. And, we can take part in several TV program’s project at home with using remote control. TV adheres to our life today. Like that, TV was developed very much.

About my favorite programs

I like to watch TV. I like foreign drama (situation comedy). Especially, I like ‘FULLHOUSE’, ‘BOY MEETS WORLD’, ‘YUKAINA SEAVER KE (Growing Pains)’ and so on. These were broadcasted when I was elementary school student. I always watched them after finished school. That was my routine. As I was child, not to much to say that those dramas made my humanity mind. Those dramas theme are about family, friend or so. So, I learned many things from them. I was influenced them. The human relations in those dramas are very beautiful. I yearn for life like them. That’s only drama. But I can learn many things from them.

Conclusion

TV is necessary in today’s life. TV is good for killing time. And also, TV is good for learning. If you concentrate to watch TV to learn something, you can get any knowledge from it. I want to use TV usefully.

Yesterday, I and my friends, double Yuki, had free time after finished 3 period classes. So, we went to 'Shimo-tori' and 'Kami-tori' by our own foot from KGU. It took about twenty minutes. People know he isn’t murderer. People helped him to escape. But he shot down. This story’s ending is little sad.

Scenery in my hometown: My favorite road

This is road near my home. There is my favorite road. The tree of left side is 'Akou no Ki'. My home area is little famous for 'Akou no Ki'. The roots of it make change the shape of road. It is on road, but like off road. I like that. It is very original. The right side is harbor of Wakimotohama. In summer, 'Akou no ki' make shade. So, there is very comfortable place. But I have a bad memory. One day, It was just time when I got a car driver's licence. I try to pass this road by car. Then, Kuronekoyamato was coming from opposite. It was just the curve, you can see in this picture. I try to back. But my drive skill was poor. So, I run off. My car's left lear wheel got into ditch. It was my first car accident. That’s my community

Introduction

I think everyone must have own community. People must be belonged to any community. I think people can’t be without belonging community. Like this. If you work, you belong to work place community. People’s life consists of community. Community contains friends, senior, junior and so on. Of course, I am belonging to some communities. I want to introduce my communities.

Department of English

Now I am going to Kumamoto Gakuen University. I am student of Department of English. That is one of my communities. I’m studying English there. When I decided to enter the university, I was very excited. But same time, I was so scared. That is because, my home is in Kagoshima. Kumamoto is a strange place for me. It is too difficult to enter the strange place or strange community. To enter the strange place alone was scared me. But people who live in Kumamoto are kind. And school mates are very good and kind. I like them. Now there is comfortable for me. We are cheering up each other to rise own skills. Sometimes (many times), we go to enjoy some entertainment to refresh. It is good for us. We can share hard things and joyful. Because we are studying same kind of subject at same place. School life is always like that. And that is one of good point of community life.

Mikasa Club

I want to introduce ‘Mikasa Club’. This is the most favorite community for me. This is a club of basketball in my hometown, home area. Two of my friends and me designed to establish it when we were first grade of high school. And we carried out this plan when we were second grade of high school. In the beginning, the members were same age old boys of basketball team of my junior high school. Members were very few. There was a day that gathered members were there or four. But now, many people come to play. Now, my team mates of basketball team of high school are coming. My juniors’ team mates of basketball team of high school are coming. My seniors are coming. Anyway, many people come to play now. About twenty members are coming constantly now. It is so fun. All players like basketball. Sometimes, some players are strange. But, we could good friend by playing basketball together. All players are enjoying playing basketball. I am very pleasure because we can supply the community that can play basketball with fun. I am very proud of me and my friends because we could carry out such as big project. Now this club is unofficial. But we are planning to let this team enter the basketball league in Kagoshima someday in the future.

Work place

I think work place is very important community. I worked at ‘A-Coop’ during summer vacation and spring vacation. I learned many important things of society there. It is like etiquettes, common sense and so on. It is very important things to get into society. So I think work place is very important. Now I got a new job. I want to learn several things at new work place.

Conclusion

Community is very important part in human life. People should treasure concerning of community. People can’t live without concerning any communities. To belong to community is to live a life. I want to treasure my communities.

I read this book, ‘Five Children And It’. It's fall of reading!! I read this book, 'Never Too Late'. The writer of this book is Yuta Tabuse. He is first Japanese NBA player. He is famous in Japan. I think you know who he is. He write about his experiences of his college life. He was studing abroad to Brigham Young University Hawaii (BYUH) after he graduate from Noshiro Technical Highschool in Akita. Basketball club of Noshiro is the best team in Japan. Noshiro lost just 1 time at offical game during he was in this school. Noshiro won the National Convention 9 times in a low during he was in this school. That is very great. He is elite of basketball. He studied abroad to Hawaii to raise his basketball skills. But he faced the wall of languages. He write about that in this book. You can read about his interesting stories that he experienced during studying abroad in this book. I watched NBA game on TV today. The game was Los Angeles Lakers(LAL) vs. San Antonio Spurs(SAS). Lakers is my favorite team. One of my favorite player, Kobe Bryant belongs Lakers. His play is very excellent. I think he is one of best player in NBA. But he is not best player in this game. Spurs won this game. Spurs players played very good. Especially, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, Spurs are very great. Score is 92 - 107.

What a relief!

After we enjoyed bowling, we played arcade racing game. When I was playing it, I put my wallet in front of game screen. And I forgot to bring it out when I go home. I noticed that when I dropped in convenience store near my apartment room. That upset me. And I got back to Shinyashiki Bowl soon. On the way to there, I called there desk. The worker said 'there is a wallet someone forgot'. I was very relieved, when I heard that. What a relief!!

Today, I went to Shinyashiki Bowl near the university with my friend, Yuki. We played bowling. This is the first time to visit there. Playing bowling there is cheap. We found good place to play. I think that the main themes of ‘Toy Story’ are friendship and loyalty. Toys have loyalty for their owner, Andy. Because of Andy is very kind boy. And, toys are united steadily by a firm friendship. In movie, Woody doesn’t have friendship for Buzz at first. Because of Woody is the most favorite toy for Andy. First, I introduce KGU Which is private school. It's our university and the most cheerful university in Kumamoto. There are many nature, 'Icho namiki' is beautiful in fall.
It has 4 departments and 11 course. The university has many good equipments, because of them I can study many things comfortably. especially The library is very good, because it's clean, quiet and it has books and computers, so I like to spend time in the library. Then there is a bakery, many kinds of breads are baked there, especially I like 'ham & cheese' , it's tasty.
Clubs are very active in the university. school festival is the biggest event in the university. They prepare too hard for it.

Kumamoto university is only national school in Kumamoto, so many people comes to this university from other prefectures. It's the most intelligent university in Kumamoto. The mayor of Kumamoto city is Seishi Koyama. His birthday is 1965 June 10. His height is 178cm, his weight is 67kg. He keeps the weight for fifteen years. His hobby is reading and baseball. Explanation

In Kumamoto, there is big down town. There is called ‘Shimo-tori’ and ‘Kami-tori’. There is big shopping arcade. There is the biggest scale in western part of Japan. There bustle with as many people as Nagoya, Osaka (Kita, Minami) and Fukuoka (Nakasu). Kami-tori is composed of Kami-tori arcade and Namikizaka. And Shimo-tori is composed of Shintenngai, Nibangai, Sanbangai and Yonbangai. Today’s arcade of Kami-tori is third generation arcade. This arcade is followed the design of the Orsay Museum in Paris. And today’s arcade of Shimo-tori is second generation arcade. This arcade can open and close. It opens all at once in three minutes by electric switches. Kami-tori is the first Japanese place where introduced Edy (Electronic money system) into in wide area. And, in Shimo-tori, you can use Edy at 175 shops. Especially, the fashion that sent from there is tip of trend. By the way, Kumamoto is the first place in Kyusyu where McDonald’s opened and two of only place where ‘McFLURRY’ sold by test. One more place was Tokyo. Like this, Kumamoto is on top of trend and Kami-tori and Shimo-tori are on top of trend too. This is why students of KGU are fashionable. First, I would like to write about golf. There are a lot of professional golf player from Kumamoto. Major famous player are Yuri Fudo, Momoko Ueda, Miho Koga, Kaori Aoyama and so on. And Kaori Aoyama is woman of same generation with us. She is two or three older than me. She is great. Sightseeing spot in kumamoto
the most foreign people are interested in kumamoto castle . This is the main sightseeing spot in here . Kumamoto castle is one of the thre greatest castlesin japan. this was built and desined by the great warrior Kiyomasa Kato who had lots battle experiences. This castle with skillfully curved stone walls is as long as 5.3km in circumference and required 7 years for constraction. It is the best example of castle-building technique , as it made the most of the region's geographical features. In side of the castle , there is a branch of the Municipal Museum.
Natume soseki7s memorial museum was located at Uchitsuboi, Kumamoto-shi. He was teaching English at goto school in 1896 . he changed residences six times during his four-year and three month stay in kumamoto. His oldest daughter Fudeco was born and the well used for her first bath is still maintained . soseki7s manuscripts and first edition books are displed insides. as you know , he is the man of 1000 yen bill.
aso-kako creater was was first creater in Nakadake. volcano and still vomist its smoke constanly.600meters cross in diameter, 1000-1200 degrees. There are beautiful ponds emerald-green colored called Yudamari in the creater as well .And also , there are many good place to visit in Aso . Kusasenri is a beautiful extensive green field . The view of cows and houses which are roaming free is a symbolic scenery.

History of kumamoto
With its moderate temperature, abundant water supply and endle hills, Kumamoto has been a site for human settlement for about for about twenty eight thousand years. We can find relics of the old Stone Age and Jomon Period in Kumamoto . At Tensui machi in Tamanagun, the oldest iron axe found in japan was excavated, and Yayai culture flourished in that age appeared in the area. During the Ritsuryyob period , Kumamoto was the only major state in kyushyu. You will see the natural features of Kumamoto written in "Man-yoshu" in the eight century. After Konishi passed away in 1600, in the battle of Sekigahara , Kiyomasa Kato was built the Kumamoto castle . the great swordsman Musashi Miyamoto came to higo on the invitation of the third ruler , Tadatoshi Hosokawa, and spent his final days in years in Kumamoto writing Grin-nosho. In 1637, as the oppression to Chisthmas became in creaseingly harsh , thirty thousand farmers were suffering under the brutual tax system staged an upring . This became known as the AMAKUSA and Shimbra rebellion was the key faqctor in its adoption . After rebellion, Amakusa came came to be a Shogunate demesne until the Meilji REstration . in 1871, the old domains were replaced by prefecture . In 1887, the No.5 High School WaS founded .Soseki Natume and Yaguno Koizumi ware teaching there and the schooll produced many talented people who went out to the warld
