6th essay: Leaning with computer

It’s my thought about writing III IV

Introduction

I have writing class in second period of Wednesday from this year. Learn English with using computer is class style. I learn English with writing my own blog. This is first time to write a blog. So, it is very fresh for me. Mr. Beaufait is my writing teacher. He is very funny man. He is always singing. So, I could study English with joy.

Before writing III

Writing class is always same in my experience. The class style are always memorizing a compound word, memorizing a phrase, memorizing an idiom or practicing English composition earnestly. Those styles were my view about writing class too. And also I used computer not often. I did not have my own computer. So, the time when I touch computer was very short and few times. But this class started, this class was good reason for me to have my own computer. It was good chance to have a computer. I bought my computer in this summer.

During writing III IV

Writing

I think that I could raise my writing skills though this writing class. Because of I keep writing blog posts. It is maybe not correct sentence. And it is not so long. But I think that keep writing is good for raising writing skills. It makes English brain. I could write a blog post without concerning grammar so much. I think it is not so good but not so bad. Sometimes, it is necessary. And there are some essay assignments. I wrote some essays. It is very good to raise my writing skills. I thought outline of essay and I wrote it. It is like Japanese composition. It took little long time to write, but it is very good exercise for me. I didn’t keep practice writing before this class started. So, blog is very good place to practice writing.

Spelling

My spelling is not so good. Sometime I can’t remember the correct spell. But there is nice function in the computer. The blog site that I using is ‘Blogger’. There is a useful function, ‘spell check’ in blog functions. I used that to correct my spell. And when I write long composition such as essay assignment, I used ‘Microsoft Word’. ‘Microsoft Word’ is very useful too. It corrects my wrong spells automatically. Or, it tells me wrong with red under line. It is very helpful. But I must learn correct spelling by myself. Because of there is no useful function like this in real life.

Reading

I read English book through this class. We had to read one English book a week at least and write book review on own blog. I didn’t read English books in my daily life. So, it is good chance to read it. I read 32 books in this year. It was not difficult for me. The levels are suits my level. So, I could keep reading.

Typing

I practiced typing. There were typing speed trials in class. The aim was 100 words in 5 minutes in spring semester. Typing 150 words in 5 minutes was the aim in this semester. I could pass spring semester, but I didn’t clear this semester. It is so difficult. I have to practice more. But I think I could raise my typing skill certainly. I didn’t touch computer much times before this class started. So, it was good motivation to raise my typing speed.

Grammar

I wrote blog posts without considering grammar same as spelling. But ‘Microsoft Word’ tells me grammar wrong with green under line same as spelling. It is so helpful too. But I don’t think I could learn correct grammar in this class. Computer just warns me wrong. It doesn’t correct my grammar. But I used dictionary when I write essays. It is good to learn grammar. I have to study harder by myself about grammar.

Using computer

There were a lot of chances in this year due to this class. I think it is good thing. Because of using computer is necessary in now society. As I wrote, this class became good chance to have my own computer. That was very good and big for me. If the class style isn’t like this, I would not buy my own computer. I could learn how to use computer with joy through this class.

After writing IV

After writing IV, I want to keep writing blog in my free time. It is good practice to write English. And I want keep practicing typing. I want to raise my typing speed. I think there are many times to use computer in recently job. I want to make good use of my skills I got through this class in my future.

Conclusion

I could learn some good things that I can’t learn through normal English writing class. I was very anxiety at first. But it is good experience for me. I could get important skill through this class.

CD

After we finished lunch, we went to shopping. We went several shops. For example, Tsutaya, Towerrecord, we go and some clothes shops. I bought 3 CDs at Towerrecord. I bought Chingy's 'Hate It or Love It', DJ Drama's 'Gangsta Grillz' and Bow Wow & Omarion's 'Face Off'. Chingy and Bow & Omarion's CDs' sell day was today. I was waiting for this day. All CDs were very good. I am very happy now!!

ma-ma-fu-fu-

Today, I have no class in the afternoon. So, I went to Kamitori & Shimotori with double Yuki after we finished the morning class. We were hungry, so we went to 'Ma-Ma-Fu-Fu' at first. I have been there one time. I went there when I came to Kumamoto to find my apartment room. I went there after long separation. I ate fried rice set. It was so good. I want to go there again!!

Very memorable experience

I have been to Australia when I was 2^nd grade of high school student. I went there instead of school trip. Because of my course that a course that put stress on English. I went there with classmates. And I stayed there for about two weeks. I experienced a lot of things that I never had. I lived by speaking English mainly in that time. That was very important experience for me. And I had other special experiences. For example, I touched koala and kangaroo. I watched Opera house and harbor bridge in Sydney. I enjoyed shopping by English. I could do several experiences. And I was grown a little by that experience.

MOS

I got up 5:30 early in the morning yesterday. Because of I was going to arrive at KGU by 7:00. I was going to take a course of MOS. MOS is omission of Microsoft Office Specialist. I arrived at KGU at 7:00. But there are already a lot of students in line in front of building 14. The limits of the course are 40 people. I was 30~35th. I could take that course. I am so happy. I'll do my best to pass the test. The course starts during spring vacation.

I went to billiard house near the KGU to play billiard with double Yuki's today( Yesterday). I played billiard after a long separation. Two of my friend were too. We enjoyed the game. I won two times in 3 games. I was very pleased!! I want to go there again.

Book Review 2-18: Love or Money?

I read ' Love or Money?' today. This is the crime and mystery story. The story goes like this. The main character is Molly Clarkson. She is rich. She is 50 years old, old woman. One day, she has a small party for her birthday - only four people. Four people, however, who need the same thing, they need her money. She will not give them the money, so they are waiting for her to die. And there are other people who are waiting for her to die. But one person can't wait. And on her fiftieth birthday, Molly Clarkson is killed by someone. And, the investigation is started. I tried to reason, but it was also difficult for me. I couldn't understand the trick or the criminal. The mystery story is always different for me. I want to be good reader of mystery stories. I want to read more mystery stories to train my brain.

Book Review 2-17: The Wiches Of Pendle

I read 'The Witches Of Pendle', today. This is the true story. This story is the story about witches. Do you believe the existence of the witch? I don't know they are in the world. In English in the 1600s many people believed in witches. Everybody was very afraid of them. The main character is Janet Device. She is 9 years old, poor and thin girl. Her grandmother was witch. Her mother was witch. Her ant was witch. That is what villager believed. So, she was in the prison of Lancaster Castle. She was not witch because she is a child between witch, her mother and normal man, her father. Her families were caught up and they were hanged in front of Lancaster Castle. But she was caught up and went to prison in the Lancaster Castle. Because of she has a name, Device. People don’t like the name of Device. She must stay there in Lancaster Castle with her died family. That is a true sad girl story.

I read 'The Phantom of the Opera' today. This story is fantasy & horror. This story is real story. The place is opera house in Paris. There is said that the phantom lives somewhere under the opera house. The phantom is a man in black clothes. He is a body without a head, he is a head without a body. He has a yellow face, he has no nose, he has black holes for eyes. He is maybe like a skull in my image. But the evidences of the person who watched the phantom are different each. It is so strange. But finally, he is disclosed that it is not a goast or phantom. He is a man. He is unhappy Erik. He hides from the world because of his terrible, ugly face. And he played a goast or phantom with several tricks. That is the truth of 'The Phantom of the Opera'.

Development of TV

Introduction

Nowadays, I can’t think about life without TV. TV is one part of our life for people of today. There is no TV in the old days. When I was born, there is TV then already. So certainly TV influenced my life very much. For example, TV influenced my view, my behavior, and my mind and so on. It will suits to the young generation people too.

History of TV

When the first time TV broadcasted was May 13^th 1939 by NHK Science & Technical Research Laboratories (NHK STRL). That was public experiment. Then, TV was black & white. After that, TV broadcasting started February 1^st 1939 by NHK. And commercial broadcasting started on August 28^th 1953. 1958 to 1959, the television was popularized. Because of many commercial broadcasting stations were set up. And color broadcasting was started on September 10^th 1960. On June 1^st 1989, broadcasting satellite was started. On 1991 November 25^th, ‘High vision’ broadcasting was started. On 2000 December 1^st, broadcasting satellite digital was started. And ‘TIJOU DIGITAL HOUSOU’ is starting.

Today’s Television

Nowadays, television was developed very much. It changed color. It changed thin. The screen size is several. There are from big size to small size. You can find big size screen in city. The small size screen is size like ‘GAMEBOY’. And there is even waterproof television. So we can watch TV at the bath. And we can watch TV in a car. Car navigation system set up TV system. Nowadays, we can watch TV at cell phone. We can watch TV at anywhere. And, we can take part in several TV program’s project at home with using remote control. TV adheres to our life today. Like that, TV was developed very much.

About my favorite programs

I like to watch TV. I like foreign drama (situation comedy). Especially, I like ‘FULLHOUSE’, ‘BOY MEETS WORLD’, ‘YUKAINA SEAVER KE (Growing Pains)’ and so on. These were broadcasted when I was elementary school student. I always watched them after finished school. That was my routine. As I was child, not to much to say that those dramas made my humanity mind. Those dramas theme are about family, friend or so. So, I learned many things from them. I was influenced them. The human relations in those dramas are very beautiful. I yearn for life like them. That’s only drama. But I can learn many things from them.

Conclusion

TV is necessary in today’s life. TV is good for killing time. And also, TV is good for learning. If you concentrate to watch TV to learn something, you can get any knowledge from it. I want to use TV usefully.

Yesterday, I and my friends, double Yuki, had free time after finished 3 period classes. So, we went to 'Shimo-tori' and 'Kami-tori' by our own foot from KGU. It took about twenty minutes. The way that we passed was strange for us. So, we enjoyed the way to there. And that was good excise. And we arrived there, we went to several shops. We went 'We-go', 'Sports Hayakawa', 'Shoe bar', 'Tsutaya', 'Mr.donut' and 'Tower Records'. I like to visit CD shop. When I go 'Shimo-tori'. I always go 'Tsutaya' and 'Tower Records'. I like the word 'NO MUSIC, NO LIFE'. We enjoyed shopping and looking.

I read ‘The President’s Murderer’ today. This story is a man who escaped from jail versus against the police. That’s like ‘Prison Break’. But, this story’s detail is very different from it. In this story, the police are villain. Finally, the escaping man is shot down. But he is didn’t murdered the president. The police made him murderer. True murderer didn’t disclose. People know he isn’t murderer. People helped him to escape. But he shot down. This story’s ending is little sad.

Scenery in my hometown: My favorite road

This is road near my home. There is my favorite road. The tree of left side is 'Akou no Ki'. My home area is little famous for 'Akou no Ki'. The roots of it make change the shape of road. It is on road, but like off road. I like that. It is very original. The right side is harbor of Wakimotohama. In summer, 'Akou no ki' make shade. So, there is very comfortable place. But I have a bad memory. One day, It was just time when I got a car driver's licence. I try to pass this road by car. Then, Kuronekoyamato was coming from opposite. It was just the curve, you can see in this picture. I try to back. But my drive skill was poor. So, I run off. My car's left lear wheel got into ditch. It was my first car accident. I remember it very clearly. But I grow up around there. So, there still my favorite road.
